On the Pitch Pre-Match

I'm pretty certain no one in the UK saw me last night on the pitch before the Semi-Final between Germany & Turkey. It was a last minute thing as I had been expecting to just be working in the Accreditation Centre as normal. However, some extra staff were needed to help with an Anti Racism banner due to expected high winds. So there I was, standing behind the Turkish team on the pitch as the National Anthems were played. Claire recorded some TV coverage on SF Zwei but watched the BBC. Apparently my 15 seconds of fame on UK TV lasted around 1 second as my nose appeared in shot. Along with this experience I also stayed on in the stadium to watch an enthralling match.
