Freiburg Struggle and Get Hammered 0-6 at Home...

Claire and I went off to see SC Freiburg today and despite the home team suffering an humiliating 0-6 defeat to Werder Bremen we had a good time. The Freiburg fans were their usual loud and passionate selves so the atmosphere was good even during such a result. It's still only 12 Euros to go and the terraces still allow you to drink a beer at a reasonable price and with a decent view.

Once back in Basel we met up with friends from Euro20008, Alex and Nicole, we had a few beers and dinner - just a shame it's been so long since we met and so short a time we had together.

First Wine arrives (more to come)

Got an early shock from the postman when he rang saying he had a delivery and it turned out to be wine ordered at the Weinmesse - all 36 bottles of it (with 12 mor eto come from this supplier). More arrived from another supplier today as well!

Green Day At Zurich

We went to Zurich today to meet our good friend, Barbara, for lunch and also, for me, to go to see Green Day at the Hallenstadion. I'm not a great fan of these arenas but the 2 hour plus gig was very good. Shame Billy Joe had to keep on with his "We love you Switzerland" shouts - whatever happened to teh punk ideals!
